Yes we get the duct cleaning companies constantly.
My business line also gets a call at about 12:50 PM every day from a robo-dialer talking about some bs thing.
I have not had the phony Revenue Canada call yet. But I did read that they are trying it in the US too as IRS. "You owe taxes and if you don't pay immediately the police are on the way to arrest you...blah, blah, blah. I even read a story a number of weeks ago about some woman who got taken badly in the scam. The kicker? They demanded payment in iTunes cards and she maxed out her credit cards buying them and sending them the numbers. Like 5 figures worth! Obviously wrong on so many levels I can't fathom it. How do you not know what you owe in taxes is just the starting point. That you are so gullible that you think a Gov't agency would request payment in ITunes cards? You might deserve what you got.

They do not call themselves IRS or Revenue Canada (Canada Revenue Agency, if I want to be correct). Actually, they do not call themselves anything. It is just a recorded message that says something like 'there is tax fraud under your name, please call us back at this number' My machine cuts before I can hear the actual number but what I get on my call display is 305-396-2488.
