We're battening down the hatches for Hurricane Lorenzo (well it will be Storm Lorenzo by the time it reaches Ireland) to hit tomorrow evening. It's only the second hurricane to ever reach Ireland. The last was Ophelia last year. It will probably be just another windy day with a few idiot kite surfers out on the west coast.
It was indeed. We used to have a family that lived on the railway embankment outside the front of my house. Then they disappeared for a few years, but it would appear they are back. A neighbour saw one on his early morning walk a few weeks ago, I saw one in broad daylight last week, having a face off with a cat. (The cat won).
If this one is going to be a regular visitor, I might try to feed it as well. I've repositioned my camera trap so it covers a larger part of the garden, from a higher elevation tonight, so we'll see if it comes again.
So, how do you feed a fox, in a way that cats can't get at the food? Hmmmmm.
Welcome to Britain, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute, some more will be along soon.
