Good game, Mank. I read that the Tigers rallied in the 9th to defeat the Pirates. I am at work and was in an 8-hour meeting so I couldn't stream the game on my computer. They split the series. I checked the box score and it looks like Bednar blew another game. He hasn't pitched well this season. Chapman should be the closer I think from now on for the Bucs.

I had thought that my manager wouldn't let us go see it. The woman led the parade! First she and several others went to the conference room on our floor on the east side of the building for the start, then she led a bunch downstairs to watch the peak. People had to account for the time, so it was called an internal event. I thought about joining, but I was way deep in a job that needed to get out that day. On the way home just after 6:30, I70 eastbound was crowded. My first thought was, what are they fleeing from? Then I realized that they were headed home after seeing the eclipse in the totality zone, yeah, about three hours later, that works.

The kind of idiots that would wear those shirts are the exact people you would expect to know they’re violating the flag code.

Hmm, we make a stars & stripes printed hockey tape pattern. Before we did I researched it because I konw there are acceptable uses and unacceptable uses of the flag. So our pattern has elements of white stars on a blue background and elements of red and white. Other companies before us used actual flags in their design and from what I read that is unacceptable use. I would think the dancers tops should meet the guidelines and if I recall the hanging thing was you couldn’t put the flag itself on something disposable which of course tape is. Shirts are not. Looks like this when wrapped on a hockey stick.

I don’t think it is a violation as it should meet the requirement of “not disposable.” If there is something else in the code I’ve not considered I am interested to learn. Not trying to argue it.

As I understand it, they weren't banned because of flag code violations, they were banned because a small minority found them "triggering". How do these people survive driving through mid-town USA where every other fucking house has a flag outside it.

Any news organisation that uses phrases like "Transgender Agenda" in its articles clearly shows its political bias and its reporting should be taken with a large pinch of salt.

I don't think they violated anything it is that people were triggered and felt unsafe. I never knew that displaying the flag triggered people or made them feel unsafe. I fly a flag on my home by my front door. It never occurred to me that it might trigger someone. Everybody is a victim of something these days. According to the American Legion unless the clothing is made from an actual flag it is not in violation. American Legion

It's not a violation of the flag code to wear shirts with the American flag printed on them. It is a violation of the flag code to wear shirts that are made from actual flags, but it's not illegal to wear such shirts.
A lot of people think it is a violation to wear shirts with the flag printed on them, but they're wrong.

I agree with Graham. I doubt anyone felt "unsafe". Likely, people thought the shirts were a violation of the flag code. This article is just propaganda. Exaggerating and twisting the story to support some political cause.

This was yesterday evening here on Highway 401 (this would be an Interstate in the US). Assuming the Twitter link posts. Note NSFW language.
A guy was robbing a liquor store (not sure if for booze or money but stealing booze is a thing up here lately) police start chasing him and he goes onto a major highway with a lot of traffic in a high-density area (like 10 minutes from us) while it was busy. As a matter of fact I’d been driving in the correct direction on that very stretch a few hours earlier.
Chase ended when he crashed head on with another car and tragically 3 others in another car which were 2 grandparents and their infant grandchild. No way should the police have continued that chase. I’m horrified and disgusted. Booze and money can be replaced but a family is absolutely devastated today and for ever damaged.

This is an issue here as well. The police have instructions not to follow if suspects drive wrong way up motorway or dual carriageway. Last time that they did it ended in 2 perps and one innocent dead. Usual MO is for helicopter to pick them up and nab them later.

Facebook says today is Judy’s birthday. Does anyone ever talk to her? I think I lost her number.
