Keep dosed with paracetamol for the next 48 hours.
Prevention is better than cure.

I had to shovel snow for 3 hours to get out of the driveway to take my shot. Go figure, my arm was sore afterwards.

Well, 24 hours on and I've only had a very slight "bruise" feeling where the jab was done and I was pretty tired this evening.
I did do a gentle work out today, but just 15 minutes at level 1 on my cross trainer, rather than the usual High Intensity version and no other exercises.

On Monday, NYS dropped the age for COVID vaccinations to 50 and the county opened a wait list for the 40-50 ages. I signed up and got notified today of availability. I get my first jab tomorrow afternoon (Moderna).

48 (and a bit) hours later and I'm fine Yesterday evening I was pretty tired, so snoozed for an hour or two, but later on I was tired again and went to bed before midnight (when usually it's gone 2am!) I slept for over 9 hours instead of my usual 6-7 hours, but woke up feeling fine. I did a light 15 minutes on my rowing machine in the early afternoon and was ok with that and I'm feeling ok now, so I guess I'm one of the 90% who didn't get any untoward reaction.

Got my first dose of Pfizer last week and the only thing that I felt was pulling off the band aid the next morning

Robin got hers on 11 March, I got mine 12 March; second shots scheduled 28 days later. It’s a 100 mile round-trip drive, but if one of us can’t reschedule the second shot, I’ve two longish drives ahead. Robin’s trying to persuade the pharmacist to accept CDC protocols to allow us to have our seconds on the same day. Results pending. Ours were Moderna.

Got my first dose of Pfizer last week and the only thing that I felt was pulling off the band aid the next morning Interesting, here they don't bother putting a plaster over the jab site.
Weirdly, I went to bed at 2am last night as usual, but then woke up about 6am and, after about an hour of lying in bed and being unable to get back to sleep I got up and I've been working for the last three hours!

I'm scheduled for mine tomorrow but have to go to OH to get it. Availability is so low here in MI it's crazy. A couple friends and I are driving down to get it.

When Lillian & I first started to look (when NY lowered the age to 65 at the middle of January), the only place I found that had any appointments open was in Potsdam, NY, about an 8 hour drive from Long Island. Plus the earliest I was able to get two appointments together was on March 6. Because of the length of the drive plus the late afternoon appointment time, I also booked a hotel for 2 nights, total cost $290. Plus we would have had to repeat the ordeal 3 or 4 weeks later.
Luckily, a friend's wife worked for a local clinic & she got us appointments at one of their branches for the end of January. We had our 2nd shots end of February. Total driving time for 2 round trips was less than 2 hours.

I get my first Pfizer shot in 2 and a half hours from now. My wife, who works at a school, has had both of her shots now. It has been over two weeks since her second shot so I assume she is fully protected now. My father-in-law has had his first shot and his second is scheduled for April 3. My second shot is scheduled for April 16.

Got my 1st shot today. It didn't hurt when I got it but now it is starting to hurt. Tip for anyone is to get the shot in your non dominate arm.

Today I was able to register to be able to book an appointment when one comes available. The A-Z one. I know people who’ve had it already.

Tip for anyone is to get the shot in your non dominate arm. Over here they ask which is your dominant arm before giving you the jab.
It just seems sensible if there's a possibility of a reaction.

It forced me to use it even though it was sore. Plus I sleep on my non-dominant side and didn't want to deal with potentially being too uncomfortable to sleep (flu shot did that to me this year). 48 hours later my arm was pain free except at full range of motion. Husband got it in his non-dominant arm and 48 hours later it still hurt so bad he didn't want to move it at all.

Got my 2nd shot on Thursday. Friday wasn't too bad but was feeling really tired. But nothing that a few naps and water couldn't help. Today feeling much better.

As of yesterday, I am two weeks past my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. I expected a lot worse reaction, but neither the first nor the second shot gave me any trouble other than a little soreness at the injection site - which any injection into a muscle would feel like. I was pleasantly surprised. I am flying out of town in a few days, so I'm extra glad to have my 'card' even though I'll still be masked appropriately.

So, finally bowing to my age (just entered my 8th decade), & my wife's insistence, I finally got hearing aids. I actually went to Costco & got an amazing deal. Costco has their own brand, made by Phonax, & just released the latest model, Kirkland Signature 10. In keeping with their seemingly reverse thinking, they did the same thing as on previous new models, & dropped the price by $100 for a pair. Total cost to me $1,399 for the pair.
These are great. Unlike the model 9 (which were priced at $1,499) which needed disposable batteries, these are rechargeable. Plus they connect flawlessly to my android phone & tablet, eliminating my bluetooth headpiece. The only problem I have now is pairing them with my laptop. I'm doing further research on that.
