Rich called just before 4 to tell me that she was gone.
The nurses called him when it looked like she was close to leaving and he was able to be with her when the time came.
To my knowledge, no funeral plans have been confirmed, yet.

I'm very glad that Rich was able to be with her today. Shell touched everyone she met in a big way, and she will not be forgotten. I wish I had the right words. I can't see very well. Sincere condolences to all.

I’m very sorry to hear this and offer my deepest condolences. While it is very fresh and very sad at least for Shell she does not have to endure what must have been unbearable pain. RIP Shell.

Right now, he's looking to have the funeral on or around October 13th. He's going forward with the Remembrance Tree idea.
Her Obituary will be published in the Cincinnati Enquirer. He hasn't had a chance to write it, yet.

I don't think that has been ironed out yet. Advanced Cremation by Tufts is handling things for them. They knew about the Tree idea.

Damnit. Sandy has two wedding cakes going out on Friday and Saturday, and if that wasn't enough, she has a tasting on Saturday for an expensive (likely) cake. Also, her Jeep broke down today on a delivery. She lost a brake line. That's more $$ out of pocket. I may be able to make it, but won't know until Tuesday or Wednesday, but she won't be able to attend....  |
