Sadly, I will not be able to make it as I'm dealing with some health issues myself. This pains me because one of the last things Shell and I talked about was if I was going to make it to her memorial service. I'll certainly be there in spirit.
Didnt find her obituary sufficient, would have preferred for it to be more like this:
Michelle Renee Corsmeier Maertz 9/29/1968 - 10/2/2018
Born in Cincinnati, OH she was the daughter of Ann Feuchter Corsmeier and the late Richard C. Corsmeier. In addition to her mother, Shell, as she liked to be called, is survived by her son, Brandon J. Maertz, a brother, Richard J. (Kelly) Corsmeier, and a sister, Trish (Kevin) Charleson. Shell attended parochial and pubic schools in the Cincy area and after graduation she took a cosmetology course. Not wanting to settle for a career as a hairdresser or secretary at P&G, she entered into the fast growing field of computer programming. Through sheer determination and drive, she built a career specializing in e-mail management and migration, working for corporations around the globe. Shell was a hard worker, but also cared deeply for others, lending an ear and heartfelt concern for her friends problems, and offering time and money to those in need. Friends will remember Shell for her quick wit, sarcasm, mesmerizing smile, and her ability to laugh and make others laugh with her. She will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Sept 13 starting at 1 pm, Sharon Woods Park, 11450 Lebanon Rd, Sharonville, OH
Ditto my dear, Ditto.

Much better Glenn.
I'm not going to be able to make it, a stomach bug has kept me close to home.

Well, I'm not going to make it. I guess I needed sleep. I decided to stay up to 10pm since I didn't need to get up until 7am to leave in the 9-9:30am range, no need for an alarm. I woke up just before 11am.

There were tears, smiles and some laughter. Rich made a slide show that went from a naked baby on a bear rug, no front teeth all the way to the dogs in CT. I think I watched it 4 times. I was going to ask what burial plans they had made and the attached picture answers that. There has been a problem with the tree delivery and plans now are to plant it in the spring. I told Rich I'd come back and bring a shovel since I'd never planted a friend before and can hear Shell laughing at me. This old coot is tired. 575 miles, 5 hours going and 4:40 returning home. Hoosiers need to learn how to merge to one lane for construction. That was the 20 minute difference

Wow. I was not expecting that. Two of the songs in that video were my suggestions. Clapton's Tears in Heaven became an earworm for me the moment Rich called to tell me she had been admitted. The last song, "Here's to us" by Halestorm was "our" song.
Thank you to everyone that provided pictures. It was a nice trip down memory lane.
