That is funny as hell almost but how exactly does a bear get down there in the first place? I mean it has to fit through the hole to make this even plausible?

Many, many moons ago, I read a novel called "The Specialist", about a guy who had dedicated his whole life to designing and building, ahem, outdoor facilities. We need to ask him. I wonder if I still have the book?

Some outdoor facilities have a back door that covers about half the pit with the outhouse covering they other half. This is access for the honey dippers that empty the pit.
You kids never saw one??

Pffft, my last place in Illinois had a two-hole'r out in the back. Now I'm kinda fond of my wife and all; but there isn't a chance in hell that I'd join her in the outhouse.

I don't understand the problem.Surely, if the family truly believe that "only God could end life", then He will, if He wants, when the ventilator is turned off. Otherwise, she lives. Did the family complain when she was put on the vent?

Did the family complain when she was put on the vent? The problem is that we are only hearing part of the story. (The part that comes out in court.) We are not party yo the conversations that occurred before she was put on a ventilator. We don't know what the family were told at the time. Were they told that this will keep her alive until she recovers, that this is her last chance and not to get their hopes up. Did staff in the ICU who are up to their tonsils at the moment have the time to properly explain all this to them? Or were the family so upset that they only heard the parts that they wanted to hear. If it is up to god to decide then he/she/it may send an infection to end it all or allow a recovery if she is on a ventilator long enough. Does the hospital want the ventilator for somebody with a better chance of survival? There is a lot here that we don't know about but it still makes for sensationalist reporting.

So, did any of the left-ponders bother to watch the Oprah Winfrey show?
It's not aired over here until later this evening, but from what I can gather, it's a tale of a two-bit actress who thought that having a royal title meant she could boss everybody around and they had to do her bidding.
She didn't realise that the job came with responsibilities, and people would try to make her fulfil them.
Now they have nothing, in a country where nobody is anybody unless they are somebody. She will soon realise that Harry is not her passport to stardom, and that will mean another divorce for the Royal family.

Commentary from one Brit who presumably has seen it:
"A duke and duchess in the unimaginably luxurious surrounds of a Californian mansion talking about how difficult their lives have been. In a country where 40million people lost their jobs as a result of lockdowns, this pair who get paid millions for making naff podcasts moaned to billionaire Oprah Winfrey about their oppression by the establishment. Meghan was wearing a $4,500 dress. She’ll probably never wear it again. Then the hypocrisy on the privacy question. Harry and Meghan detest the invasive media – they referred to it as a ‘monster machine’ – and insist they just want a private life. Yet they’re constantly revealing all. They’ve given minute details about the miscarriage Meghan suffered. In the Oprah chat Meghan opened up about her suicidal thoughts while ‘trapped’ in the royal family. Nobody invades Meghan Markle’s privacy as much as Meghan Markle does. The problem isn’t the public, pestering Harry and Meghan for info about their lives; the problem is them forever foisting their most intimate experiences down our throats. So instead of falsely asking to be left alone, how about you just bugger off and leave us alone?"

Heard about it, but, decided it wasn't worth watching. Personally, I'm barely interested in our own political dramas. I really couldn't bother to care about another country's dramas that have no impact on my life.

I saw it. I knew the British press were assholes about Meghan, I didn't realize how many of the general populace were, too.

I haven't seen the broadcast, but I have read the papers this morning. I have reached the following opinions:
1) It was totally one sided. An assassination of a family without them getting a chance to reply. 2) Meghan plays the 'Race Card' too easily. She claims racist comments were made, but refuses to say by whom. 3) She claimed her son got no title because of her race, untrue. If she had bothered to listen to her advisers she would have known that as a non-descendant of a direct heir, he is not entitled to one. 4) They complain about press intrusion and lack of privacy, then give a two hour long TV interview. 5) She can act. 6) Harry was excluded from parts of the interview, presumably because he knew she would lie tell 'her version of the truth'.
She married into one of the most famous, and powerful, families on this earth and expected to be taken in on her terms, not theirs. She had some sort of Hollywood idea of what a Royal Family is, and didn't bother to find out the truth. When the truth hit her after she got married, she decided that she didn't like it and her way of solving the 'problem' is to trash those that cannot, because of protocols, reply. (Ha! 'protocols', a word that isn't in her lexicon).
She is the worst type of parasite. Harry, divorce her now. You made a big mistake, accept it and get on with your life. Leave her in the putrid mess she is in.

The MSM in this country are a bunch of spiteful, hypocritical bastards who are only interested in whatever gets clicks/ views/ sells papers.
Unfortunately a lot of people in this country swallow that sort of crap and then start piling on thinking they know all about it.

It wasn't a debate.
The Royal Family have had plenty of opportunity to reply, but they haven't, because unofficial motto of the Royal Family is "Never apologise, never explain".
Although just a few days before the interview, by sheer co-incidence, no doubt, Royal aides were briefing the press about allegations of "bullying" by Megan, a tactic known as " Poisoning the Well"
Why the hell should she? Why would naming names make it any better? Do you think she was lying?
Still, at least we've been told it wasn't Prince Philip...
“If you stay here much longer you’ll all be slitty-eyed” (to a group of British students during a royal visit to China).
“You can’t have been here that long, you haven’t got pot belly” (to a Briton he met in Hungary).
“Aren’t most of you descended from pirates?” (to a wealthy islander in the Cayman Islands).
“How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test” (to a Scottish driving instructor).
“It looks as if it was put in by an Indian” (referring to an old-fashioned fuse box in a factory near Edinburgh).
“Still throwing spears?” (question put to an Aboriginal Australian during a visit).
“There’s a lot of your family in tonight” (after looking at the name badge of businessman Atul Patel at a Palace reception for British Indians).
The rules have been changed in the past. They could have been changed again if the Queen had wanted to.
Your first point is that the interview was "an assassination of a family without them getting a chance to reply"
So Megan and Harry were taking their chance to reply, but you attack them for doing this!
Been taking lessons from the British Media?
Well, whoop-te-do! So what?
Again, you imply she's lying, faking, making it up, as if *nobody* else can act!
Ah, we've gone from implications of her lying to outright assumptions that she was lying.
Got any proof of that...?
More completely unsubstantiated bullshit.
Yes, I'm sure Harry is going to take your advice...
PS FYI, I'm not a "staunch Royalist", but I just don't like the sort of bullying that they have faced constantly from the media etc.
Of course this does also make a fantastic Dead Cat story that the MSM can use to distract the public from the 125,000 people who have died from COVID due to the Tories' utterly incompetent handling of the Pandemic, not to mention the ongoing shit-show of Brexit!

Didn't watch it but caught parts of it here and there. It does seem most people over here are on their side from what I've seen.
The only part I can really agree with is how bad the tabloids are. I can see Harry not wanting to put up with that and lose his family like he lost his mom. They also somewhat encourage that behavior by doing things like this, imho.

The media has been playing up this story pretty good. I've seen countless stories referencing a discussion about the baby's skin color.
The British Royals are like the Kardashians. Everything I've learned about them has been against my will.

For goodness sake, don't just use the first sentence. Nothing can be further from the truth. I think they mean only in context of the combined phrase. “Don’t care, don’t wanna know but the media won’t let me.”

No, they're one in the same. Famous for being famous. Offering nothing of value to the rest of us. One family has more historical reasons for being famous but since they're only serving ceremonial roles and not actual political figureheads, they're useless. No other royal family gets anywhere the same press they get. Hell, I had to Google Search to find out if there were any other monarchies left in the world besides Saudi Arabia.
The only thing they have going for them over the Kardashians is being more attractive.

You are viewing the matter as an American, Jim. I don't expect our Royal family to be of any value to you. You relinquished them some years ago.
However, they are of great value to us. Why does no other Royal family get the press they do? Because people care. And not just us Brits. Stand outside Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle and take a straw poll of nationalities passing by. You will find interested parties from all over the world, including the USA.
Our Royal family is certainly not 'famous for being famous' as you put it. They are the head of a Commonwealth of 2.4 billion people, 50-odd countries, a third of the world population. Just because you aren't in it doesn't mean it is meaningless.

I think they mean only in context of the combined phrase. “Don’t care, don’t wanna know but the media won’t let me.” Same here. I can't understand how the Brits get so worked up about a German/Danish/Greek family who took an English sounding name and are only the "British" royal family because at some stage in the 19th century the next 30 or so in line to the throne were catholics.

I could not put it better. And that isn't from a Brit, it's from an Aussie, a colonial - but from a country which decided to keep allegiance to the crown.
