Over on another forum of which I am a member, we are having connectivity issues. Their support bulletin has the following entry:

"To provide some additional details on this issue, the underlying problem appears to be related to a specific section of the integrated storage on one of the hypervisors as such this is essentially affecting performance over the entire storage system for users on our OnApp VPS platform."

Immediately the wits began "Have you tried switching it off and on again?"

I was just noting on another forum that I’m noticing tech glitches all over the place. My iPhone. My iPad, my Dropbox account, Some websites not loading on computer browsers. Not sure if it made the news elsewhere but “Rogers” is one of Canada’s biggest national mobile providers and they had a massive outage yesterday due to a firmware update on something. Just seems odd seeing all this and they are seemingly unrelated.

It looks as if the point is moot.  The whole thing is falling apart.  A counter punch from the FA saying, "It's them or us" seems to have done the job.

Where's the honour or glory in highly trained and equipped killers, who are all volunteers going up again and cutting down poorly trained and equipped conscripts who had no choice where they would be sent?

That's on a personal level, so that YOU don't see ads on any of your proboards communities, it is not related to hosting this particular community.

THAT is what is going on. It looks like they finally decided to force the issue effective June 1. If YOU, on YOUR own, are annoyed enough by the ads, YOU will need to pony up for ad-free. This will apply to ONLY YOUR individual account with Proboards, but YOU will have ad-free for ALL of the Proboards communities YOU are in. This will NOT affect what anyone else sees. This is NOT related to the actual hosting of this or any other community.

I do not know how to make this explanation any simpler.

I get it. I don't belong to any other proboards and I incorrectly assumed whatever we paid for this forum covered no adds. Honestly, I have NO recollection of any PM from the CEO. But, then again I rarely check in here to see if I have any private messages.
