Whadd'll y'all have? I'm buying.

He is a shrieker, but, so what? Nobody ever said he had incredible range. Even Rob Halford shrieks and he's one of the best vocalists to ever record anything.

The Beatles may have paved the way for others but that doesn't mean I have to like them. I can respect what they've done for the industry and absolutely hate their sound.
Kind of like Garth Brooks for country. He greatly shifted people's perception of country music but a lot of people don't like his sound.

I liked just about every band and singer mentioned here....... until somebody brought up Garth Brooks.
The only way that I can listen to him is to take out my hearing aids.

I react to country music like the Martians in “Mars Attacks.”

The music discussion here is interesting. When I look at my iPod Classic, 160 GB version (and I am constantly adding new albums and songs) I have music from jazz, a little bit of rap, classical, a lot of pop, a lot of classic rock. I have albums on my iPod that range from Doris Day to Smashing Pumpkins, Spice Girls, Alan Jackson, Tobey Keith, Tom Petty, a ton of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, the Kinks, etc., etc. Everyone has their own taste in music. Some people think an artist or group is terrible while others cannot possibly get enough of that same group. Oh... and I am I huge Taylor Swift fan. I have most of her albums on my iPod. I would go see her in concert if it was possible to get tickets.

She is way less “poppy” than I had assumed (just thought nobody got that big making music rather than the “by-design” one-dimensional kiddie pop music and stars manufactured by the industry) she would be and there is some depth and merit in the stuff she played me. Smashing Pumpkins on the other hand. That’s another that is nails on a chalkboard to my ears. I know they got big but man I cannot stand them and in the days I still listened to radio if the station I had on started one of their songs I changed the station. Garth Brooks (re your next post) “Friends in Low Places” is one of few country songs I do like and get a kick out of.

My music collection is up to 800Gb and I'm proud to report that there is zero Taylor or Garth included.

I also had nearly a Terabyte of music without Taylor or Garth. Unfortunately, that drive and its backup were taken from me. NBD, I just stream everything these days.

I wouldn't even know who Taylor or Garth were if I were presented with their music.

I would dearly love to figure out how to get my collection from my external harddrive to my phone. There seems to be a folder or a setting missing from my phone.

If so, just copy your collection to a card and plug it in.

And how do I get the collection onto an SD card if my tower doesn't have a slot?

And how do I get the collection onto an SD card if my tower doesn't have a slot? You should be able to get some sort of USB dongle to plug into a USB port.

Again, the problem isn't connecting the phone to the tower, it's that either the instructions I find are vague ("Transfer to the destination folder." Uh, HOW? ), or my phone doesn't have a necessary folder or setting, or something because my tower doesn't seem to see my phone as an external device.

Juli, do you have a cloud? You could use that as an intermediary.

Juli, do you have a cloud? You could use that as an intermediary. I have tried to download other things from the cloud, and, again, either the instructions are vague or there's something that should be obvious on the phone that isn't obvious to me.

Juli can you just copy and paste from hard drive to phone storage. That's what I do. Then every so often I delete all the music on my phone and refill with a new selection.

I watched the match. In fairness England had their best game of the tournament. But as I posted in the world up thread they had easy opponents up to this. First really good team and they were beat.
The ref had a terrible game but the French played the game and not the ref.
My (virtual) money is on a France v Argentina final with France to win.
Allez les bleus.

See how big the music folder is on your computer and get an SD card of the appropriate physical size with a memory capacity bigger than the total size of your music.
Plug the card into the adapter and it should then appear along with your hard drive(s) in My Computer.
Select your music folder, right click and select "Copy", then click on the adapter "drive" and paste into there.
Then insert the SD card into the phone and it should be accessible to your music player.

That's the point, I can't find anything to paste TO, the tower doesn't recognize that the phone is connected, doesn't see it as a networked device. The tower is Lenovo, the phone Motorola, so, same company, it's not like I'm trying to connect a Dell and an iPhone.
