Elsewhere there is speculation that since the blast was so much bigger than they expected from fireworks that perhaps they stumbled on a potential domestic terrorism plot where they disguised the bombs as fireworks.

So, this morning I get disturbed by some clunking and clanking noises outside my house.
"Oh, great, someone's getting scaffolding put up..." I think
I hear a few more thumps.
"Terrific, sounds like it's next door."
Then I hear another thud...
"Hang on, that sounded like it was right outside my bedroom window!"
So I open the curtain to see a bloke with a ladder and a scaffolding pole standing on the top of my downstairs bay window!!
I knock on my window (didn't want him falling off in surprise), then open it and ask "Err, what are you doing?"
"Putting up your scaffolding, mate."
"Umm, what address are you supposed to be at?"
"52"
"Well, this is my house and I haven't ordered any f*****g scaffolding!"
He gets out his phone, and calls someone: "What address did you say? 72? You told us 52!"
He turns to me "Thanks, you saved us a job..."

Why is it that on the one day that America celebrates its independance from Britain, it uses the British way of saying the date "Fourth of July" rather than the American "July Fourth"?

There are parts of Appalachia that speak a dialect that is closer to Elizabethan than what is spoken in general England today.

There are parts of Appalachia that speak a dialect that is closer to Elizabethan than what is spoken in general England today. That's because our nation has become civilised.

Are there any JADites in the New Orleans area? Only one I remember (of recent) was Ben and he relocated to near Buffalo some years back.

They were the better team but it was still a soft penalty.

Yes, it was a soft penalty, but that's just the way the rest of Europe plays. According to today's Telegraph, the Danish goal was invalid too, they moved a wall in front of our wall and that is against the rules.

So, is anybody in here claiming Italian status just so they can oppose the mighty England? Having an uncle who's a cabbie in New York and eats pizza every day doesn't count.

Not forgetting the traitors Declan Rice and Jack Grealish who played for Ireland at under age level or senior. The b'tards took the kings schilling. Also Kalvin Phillips Harry Maguire, and Harry Kane all boast significant ties to Ireland, either parents or grandparents. There's the makings of a decent Irish team there.

Tough luck Malcolm. In fairness Italy were the better team overall. After scoring in the second minute England sat back and let the Italians come at them. Penalties are a rotten way to go.

Yeah, Windows 365 has been creeping in for a few years, but it's mainly for businesses, not home use, though that could change.

I'd fully expect it to make it to the home market. Get people used to it at work and it'll find its way home.
