I have a new phone, and this one is advanced enough that I can download and use other sound clips for my ringtone and notifications. I'm thinking about the "*arrow thunk* Message for you, sir!" for text messages, and an old time phone ring for calls, but there are so many options...
So, I'm curious. What ringtones do you use? Are they from the pre-loaded options or did you download something from somewhere (links, please!)

Mine's just a standard phone ring. Tried others, too annoying for me.

I downloaded the standard iPhone ringtones for my Android. An old bell phone for a ringer and a couple of dings for everything else.

Just normal rings. In my business life I would find the humourous ringtones to be a bit unprofessional.

Years ago, I was crawling under a user's desk when a notification from The Simpson's Tapped Out played on my phone. I don't remember exactly what the notification was aside from it being Homer's voice saying something that really wasn't appropriate for the situation. Ever since, any notification that's not a ding gets disabled.

I use a standard ring tone for now.
I have use the Zedge app for wallpapers & have used it in the past for ringtones. Some of the media has a charge but there is loads of free stuff.

The usual ringtone on my phone is that standard Rustling in the Trees music, but for a very few special people (the ones who are marked as being able to phone me even when my phone is on Do Not Disturb), it's a piece of music called "Watching the Aeroplanes" by a group called Sky. It's the final part of a piece of music called FIFO which takes up one side of the album Sky 2 and is one of my favourite pieces. (The sleeve notes just say "The answer. Turn this one up loud" )

BTW I was once waiting in the queue at the Post Office and there was suddenly a loud female gasping and moaning sound (think When Harry Met Sally!) and everyone turned around to see a very embarassed bloke trying to silence his phone!
I'd guess that someone got access to his phone and changed the ringtone without his knowledge...

My phone ringtone is a clip from the Eagles ' song Doolin-Dalton. Otherwise my phone's sounds are stock noises. On my work tablet, I did replace the default beep with the classic Mac "wild eep" sound.

I remember a very similar topic like this a long time ago. My current ringtone is Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. In the past I have used a WIDE variety of song clips. some of them include
1. chorus from "Beer!" by PSYCHOSTICK 2. several songs from the Gibson Brothers (American bluegrass band) 3. several songs by Queen 4. movie quotes, like "I aim to misbehave"

Used 20wpm morse code and the query 'are you busy? (NX3G QRU? K) Which is a real morse code operator sign and I hear almost daily.
It became confusing because when I heard it I immediately started looking for my keyer! It was also confusing to others as it didn't sound like someone's phone 'ringing'. Hearing rather loud morse code in a supermarket I got the stink-eye from lots of folks. Enough of that sed I.
My phone is now using a simple 1950's bell for incoming calls and just some dings for notifications.

I have a special ring tone for my wife. I forget where I downloaded it from. I think from some website called Pimp your phone or something like that...
The best ringtone I ever heard was on a coworker's phone. It was a special ringtone. It started off with loud sirens and then shouted out "WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! IT'S THE WIFE!" It cracked me up every time.

Mank reminds me... I was in a doctor's waiting room with other patients, when the theme from "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" started playing. The man across from me quickly answered with "Hi, honey" and had his conversation. When he put his phone back, I joked, "Was that the good, the bad, or the ugly?" He said he used it as the ringtone for his wife and daughters. One said daughter was next to him and asked, me what I meant. I explained what the tune was, she hit him, apparently he'd told them it was from something romantic.

The best I heard, in line at a bank, was John Cleese saying in a very posh voice "Excuse me Sir, but somebody is trying to establish telephonic communication with you. Would you like to speak to them, or shall I tell them to fuck off?"

Be prepared for a series of questions to which there is not correct answer!”

I'm thinking about the "*arrow thunk* Message for you, sir!" for text messages, I still use that one for my message ringtone.

Phone calls from Robin have Time in a Bottle as her ringtone, her texts have Strother Martin, in Cool Hand Luke saying “What we have he’ya, is failya to commun’cate.” My brother’s texts have a line from The Outlaw Josie Wales... “Are you going to pull those pistols, or whistle Dixie”. My (biological) daughter’s ringtone is Sweet Child of Mine.
