Things have been depressing lately, so I'm gonna go ahead and start this topic. I blogged that I've started collecting 1/24 scale diecast cars. It's not much of a collection yet, because I only have two so far. But I'm going to buy more. A few of you mentioned that you have diecast car collections. So, I thought we could show them here. Any scale is fine, and if you have the real thing, show that if you want. My first two diecast cars: 1964 Ford Mustang and 1970 Buick GSX. The GSX is my dream car.

Hey! I’ll play Rob! Two cars models in this pic. First one is the Green 1974 Gremlin. It was my first car (and a hand me down from my Aunt and Uncle). Mine the same color of green but was also a rusted out POS! But it was MY car and I loved it. It was a good experience wrenching on it and also learning a bit about body work. I replaced the front 2 fenders with Fiberglass because they were so rotted out. The second model is a 67 Camaro SS. I had a 68 and mine was not an SS but this was the closest thing I could get to what my car was. Always loved the 67-68 Camaro body style.

I'd have to dig them out of a box. I have at least 100 of them. Mostly muscle cars, some exotics, and race cars as well.

I’ve got more too. I don’t have any other 1:24 scale I don’ think. I have a 1:16 1957 Corvette Convertible and also a 1967 Camaro Z-28.
I also have some smaller ones too. They’re all going to need a good dusting off before I put a picture up.

As I mentioned in an earlier post over in Blogs my cars are at work on my desk. Because of the pandemic I am Working From Home (WFH) and can't show pictures of my cars. I would also suggest we could post pictures of Matchbox or Hot Wheel cars we might have. Besides my 2008 Chrysler 300 C die-cast car I have a 2020 Honda Insight (the car I drive) and a 2013 Chrysler 300 C Matchbox car. Again, those cars are at work. Maybe others can post their Matchbox cars. Below is a link to the Collectable Diecast website that I visit all the time. They run sales and inventory clearance all the time. They seem to have a large selection. Diecast Cars

Mary bought this for me when I had my PT Cruiser convertible in the same color. Her great grandson must have thought I shouldn't drive at night, he removed the headlights.

I just got home from Mom and Dad's. Dad grilled ribs. Shortly after I got there, Dad handed me this box and said he got it for me. At first, I thought it was a box of M&M's, but then I opened it. Guess i've been talking a bit about my two new hobbies, collecting 1/24 scale diecast cars and watching NASCAR races. It's still not much of a collection yet, but now I have three cars to show. The new car is a Pontiac Grand Prix.

Rob,
Great cars. I think the cars from the 1950s and 1960s have the most character. I think when I retire I am going to restore a car from the 1950s but I don't know which one yet. I want something off the beaten path but that will make it hard to find parts.
I still have the goal of buying a 1967 Pontiac Catalina in great shape, the car I learned how to drive for the first time when I was 15/16.
I have looked for a diecast 1967 Pontiac Catalina but haven't found one of those yet.

I have thought about restoring a car too, or a motorcycle.
Every generation has produced cars that fascinate me. I can't say which generations are favorites. It seems to depend on my mood.

I’d love to do another 68 Camaro or a 63-67 era Vette.

"Marty, we gotta go back in time and tell that chef to wash his hands." I just discovered a box on my porch and inside it was the DeLorean. I'm not sure who sent it. I don't see the senders name on the box or the note that was inside it. But if it was you, thank you. Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies and I'm proud to add the DeLorean to my collection.

This isn’t a diecast model but it is a 1/8 scale car. A Bugatti Chrion to be specicific and it is Lego and I am building it and having a great time doing it! Thought you might like it anyway Rob. Jeanette I bet Bug would love this one. The first pic was yesterday just before the two halves of the chassis were finally fully joined. The second is after more work today with some of the body work going on it.
