I changed my stock saddle out with a Mustang one. Sandy bought it for my birthday 2 years ago..or maybe three... I've put around 26k miles on my bike since I bought it in 2015. It's at around 44k miles.

Debbie has a Mustang seat. As much as I enjoy watching her bottom bouncing around in it, I have no idea how it fits or wears. I dunno what it is about BMW. For all of the engineering that went into my bike, the stock seat felt like a slightly padded 4x4. My seat was modified by a place called Bitchn Stichn that is somewhat local. I told them I wanted the seat lower, so that I could touch my heels. They said "no, you want it narrower". They were right. When it was done and I was happy, they told me "Now you want to add this gel pad (at additional cost)", so I did. It's darn comfy, now.

I can't afford that. $1500 is a LOT for me for a machine that only does 500-10k miles a year. LOL. I'll take my $550 saddle and live with it.... BTW, how many miles do you guys drive a year? Maybe I'm missing out

Modifying my existing seat and adding gel pads was about $400. I'm not sure what the $1500 is; but this guy does some pretty exotic stuff. He showed me a python skin seat with turquoise inlays when I was in picking up my $150 vinyl recover.
I picked up my bike in Oct 2012 and I'm at 39500, right now. So, 7k / year give or take. More when I'm unemployed which will be any day now. Debbie rides significantly less.
edited because it didn't make sense to me when I reread it:
$400 to pull off the vinyl, shave the foam until I was happy, add a gel pad, then recover it with the original vinyl.
$150 to recover both seats this year when the original vinyl started cracking from the Colorado sun.

I only do about 5k miles per year max (mostly on Sundays!) I'll stick with the standard saddle. It's a darn sight better than the brick that was on the Honda CB500.

Woo hoo, got my septic tank pumped.
You'd think that anyone that pumps septic tanks is used to driving in the sticks, it's not exactly an urban thing. Apparently, I'm in the "super sticks" and they won't come up until I find 3 more neighbors to get theirs pumped at the same time. I was the 4th one in when my neighbor needed theirs done. I'm good for another few years.

I lived in the same house with septic system for 34 years and all I did was a yearly dose of enzymes to insure the strain didn't quit working. I had friends that raised 5 kids and used a garbage disposal on their septic system with the same good results. Why do you pump?

It's required by law here (but nobody checks). More importantly, a new leach field cost me $12,000 after I bought the house. I need this one to outlive me.
It's probably a geographical thing. I lived in a rental house in IL that had a septic tank that never got pumped. Super absorbant, Illinois organic soil. I had to have suitable soil trucked in here, crumbled granite isn't absorbent enough.

I have a start date of Monday, Sep. 17, at 9 am. I'm sure that's just to get the paperwork and orientation done, then I'll get into my regular shift.

Woo hoo, I got my espresso machine back.
The Mrs is a coffee junkie. I don't even say "Good morning, dear" in the morning unless she is holding a cup of coffee. 10 years ago, I bought a semi-commercial espresso machine and plumbed it into a filter. Darn good lattes and the Mrs doesn't go for a 40 mile drive to get her fix. A month ago, the pump went bad. While that is probably something I can fix myself, the gaskets, seals, and valves were all showing their age. The company that I bought the machine from also refurbishes them, so I sent it in to be rebuilt. Sending an 80# machine to NY was painful; but the darn thing is as good as new (and I can say good morning. again).
I love potato salad; but ever since my cancer surgery, mayonnaise and I do not get along. It took a month of experimentation; but I finally have a potato salad recipe that I can tolerate. Low fat mayo with avocado oil combined 50/50 with sour cream seems to do the trick. Toss in some dijon mustard and you can't really tell the mayo is missing.

I go on shift on Monday! No more waking up when I should be going to bed! Almost a shame it is back. It is for sure the biggest waste of my time during the day. Not that I actually spend a lot of time there but all the crap you have to sift through in order to see something even remotely interesting is turning me more and more away from it. I think that will happen with many other users too. I actually “hide” more posts, sites and users than I keep.

Boy, nobody has posted in here in some time.
My wife and I are going on a 10-day cruise starting on the 17th. I can't wait. I took off the second half of my trimester in Cyber Security - 8 weeks. I have been working like a nut at work and school. This term alone (condensed to 8 weeks of a 16 week trimester) I had to read 3 books 900 pages, write 7 papers, take weekly tests, and answer weekly questions on a discussion board.
