Have a play with it Marty. It tries it's hardest to configure FB to show exactly what you want, but obviously FB doesn't want it to do things like delete all ads! It's a war swinging one way then the other.
Install it, play with it. If you like it, send a few dollars. If you don't, just delete it. It's very friendly.

Ah. No not me then. I just use the app for FB. Maybe I should switch. Can it hide the annoying stuff (ads or friends posts) that FB keeps putting back after they tell me “You won’t see posts from ........Anymore?” It kills all sponsored posts and ads.

Anyone have any idea how many simultaneous connections can be made to a hotspot when the hotspot is a Samsung Galaxy tablet? I looked it up online and can't find an answer.

Why are you hotspotting off a tablet and not a proper hotspot/mifi?

I know this has been covered in this community before, but search isn't coming up with anything. It's time for me to get a new antivirus. I'm not happy with Avast's fraudulent actions against me, so I'm looking for something else. I'm willing to pay, to a point. Free is fine, as long as it doesn't whine for "upgrades". Any recommendations?

Juli, I use Norton and I have never had a problem. It's not cheap, but I think you can cover up to three PCs.

I like AVG and there is a free version. I think I see my problem. I originally got Avast because I thought AVG and Avast were the basic/free and fuller/paid versions of the same product. I just now googled, and have the two different sites up. I'll look at AVG. Mal, I'll look at Norton, too.

I used AVG fopr years, but, most experts seem to agree that MS Defender is fine. I haven't used anti virus in years.

Get a MAC, those computers are so worthless you dont need anti virus.
Willie's workplace is just suggesting MS defender.

I'm using Avira but then I ain't an expert. I'm also using Avira.
I chose it after looking at a lot of reviews and decided it was the best "free" option.
It also comes with a built in VPN and secure password store, although I've not used either of these yet.

Norton pissed me off years ago so I use McAfee now, currently $110 for 2 years for all my devices. I use Express VPN, $100 a year for all my devices. VPN are a good idea, especially when using WiFi away from home.

I used Avira's VPN for nearly two days. It was pretty useless, most of the sites I wanted to use saw straight through it.

I was using it with Netflix to see some US shows. Netflix twigged straight away that I was using a VPN and wouldn't let me in.

Doing a bit more research on this, it seems it recognises the "exit point" the VPN uses because some systems use only a limited number and share them between users which makes it a bit more obvious...
Apparently, according to that article you can (for an extra fee) get your own VPN IP address which will stop this happening.

Having a unique IP defeats some of the purposes of the VPN. Your ISP still won't know what you're up to, but a fixed IP allows you to be identified and for the most part, geo-located.
Clearing out cookies might have been enough for you to fake out Netflix. I had a similar issue with Express VPN and trying to watch a video from Australia. I changed my source to Melbourne but had to remove traces of my initial visits and the usual shared tracking cookies before I could watch it.
Of course, Netflix might have just used your billing information to determine your home country.

It started a while ago when I discovered that I could watch US content using Netflix on my son's Wii. When I tried to watch the same on my PC I got blocked. It's no biggie for now as I barely have enough time to watch my current list as it is.

It appeared to be post game (or maybe pre?) so it was probably put out for a post game presentation ceremony party. Putin is supposed to be a hockey player but hockey players know that you need to keep your head up and look where you are going on the ice.

Roku. Or Firestick. Suggestions vis-a-vis them? I see the same hieroglyphics when I read about them. To help, I have a HD tv, not 4K. I also have a non-HD in the bedroom. Would I need one for each?
